Your Staffing Agency Is on E-Verify but the Fintech Startup They Placed You at Is Not — What Happens to Your STEM OPT?

This is one of the most common compliance traps for STEM OPT candidates working through staffing agencies. The staffing company might be on E-Verify but the actual client site where you work every day may not be — and that creates a problem because USCIS looks at the full picture of your work arrangement, not just who is signing your paycheck. Before you accept any placement ask the staffing agency to confirm in writing that the end client situation has been reviewed specifically for STEM OPT compliance.
